orphic (cosmic) egg in dream?

I had a dream that i ..idk. it was weird. The scence took place at home but the ambience was different. there were torches and guys dressed up in cocktail dress suits and i'm wearing this long, metallic colored dress which revealed my back side ( just my back tho, im not talking about my butt.)
no words were spoken, not that i can recall. i just remember going through the hallway to go to my room and i stopped for a second and i waved my hand up and these other 2 torches that were off lit up..with the wave of my hand.
i had black long hair ..but the thing that struck my attention was the tattoo i had on my lower back. the tattoo was the symbol of the Orphic/Cosmic Egg. ( if you dont know what im talking about, it's an occult symbol depicting a snake wrapping itself around an egg)
this dream is really weird and i know that it's an occult symbol but what does my dream mean? why was that symbol there? why did i have a tattoo of it?
please help me.

Oh my God! It is amazing that I have time to answer your question. I don't want to give you tmi about my life but the short of it is, is that I am either blessed or cursed. I have gone through some very strange things (coincidences, dreams, 11:11 phenomenon - the last few years, surreal actual incidences) happen in my life thus far. I know I sound strange, but believe me I am interested in the esoteric a bit, but basically I try to keep a level head. The horrible thing of it is, is that my life reads like a fairytale. Really! All of the horrible and wonderful events and characters are in place. I could almost write a book, though with a bit of a twist - maybe a weird twist, say the occult. Well I have been very stressed out about a situation in the last few years which I can hardly do anything about.

Last night I had a strange dream and so I googled "Metallic egg" symbology this morning and then I came to your question on Answers. I always know when I have an important dream and last night my dream was like this: I was at work (I work in research with the medical community) at a meeting and all the doctors I work with are sitting around a table in a typical meeting. My boss heading the meeting, and is writing something on the board. I get a phone call and it is his secretary, and she has someone on the line that must speak with him. She says it is an emergency that the person speak to him. I say he is busy and ask if she is sure it can't wait. I ask who is calling but the person won't give a name. I ask again but still no name. My boss looks angry, I think knowing who it is, but takes the phone anyway.

In the meantime there is this machine sitting on the table, and it looks very sci-fi - almost like a mini-UFO. It is round, metallic, sort of large, and it is used to spin metallic eggs. (One of the women I work with is not as high as the doctors in rank but is beautiful. She has a BA/MBA and is 30ish. I am 36 and I look very much like her except I am taller 5'10" to her 5'8" with only a BS. We are both thin, she even thinner than I but not by much- say maybe 5lbs, except unlike me she can be a real what rhymes with "witch.") Anyway this machine has slots in it but it has to be processed in a very certain way. (I spent a lot of my time as a lab rat BS working at the bench and so I am a bit more familiar with biotechniques than the average person). The metallic egg that has to be placed in the machine and in the dream is split in half with a top that will screw on to the bottom. I am warned not to put water into the bottom egg. Later the bottom egg is sitting on the counter and it has goop in it (it sort of looks like transmission fluid). I take its contents and dump them. Then I start washing it. The beautiful "witch" colleague starts yelling at me that I should not have put water in the egg. I told them I could not help it, that it had crud in it. This female doctor starts saying "I can't believe she put water in it." My female colleague takes the bottom half and starts drying it out in another room. I told the middle-aged female doctor that I am quitting and I can't take their unreasonable stress any longer (real life - sort of true but very rewarding job - I am lucky to have it). I told her that I have had it and they are putting me under too much pressure. (By the way she is the Chief of Cancer) in reality. Anyway this surgeon is sort of looking at me like he understands me and why I did it. Well anyway I run out of the room to see what my colleague "the witch" is doing. She tells me the egg will be okay, and that she is glad I told off the Chief, and that she thought she needed to hear it. I was getting the impression that she is also under a lot of pressure.

Anyway, my boss (attractive just like my husband - same height everything), the one that received the phone call earlier, asks to speak with me. We walk out of the room, and he tells me that he knows I am not going to be there long with the baby thing and all (my husband and I have been trying to conceive for four years and now we are on our second IUI attempt due to a male factor that finally after he went through surgery has almost resolved) and it is okay bc he doesn't plan to be there long himself. That we should just currently make the best of the situation for images and help each other out as much as possible.

I get the feeling my boss and some of his colleagues are part of the occult. I am a bit freaked out.

In real life some very other extremely weird things have been happening, very surreal. I will have to look up the orphic egg and see what it is. I like the other posting and feel sort of like what he said: The dark forces are after me.
