cheap camera with adjustable focus?
My girlfriend wants a camera so she can start practicing photography on her own time. She just wants to be able to take nice photos when we go places like camping, prom, college that sorta thing.
She wants one of those big cameras that have the long tube on the front (which I believe is for the focus). I know nothing about these and I need help finding one for cheap. She said she doesn't care if its film or digital, but I know she would like digital better but I don't think its within price range. I only have around $100-200 to spend.
I will be searching on craigslist for the camera to hopefully find it cheap, but I don't know what to look for. Can anyone recomend some? Please remembers its the cameras that had the focus or zoom on the front that you adjust like this

just go to a camera store and tell them that take the 200 you will leave with a nice camera (thats what i did) dont buy online not a camera anyways and dont let them talk you into something you dont want
